Welcome to Log Cabin Yarns! Located in the Land O' Lakes tourist region, we
are about 6 minutes north of the town of Kaladar on Hwy 41. Getting here is easy - take the 579 exit on the 401
(at Napanee), and go north. We are located on the east side of Hwy 41, about 6 minutes north of Highway 7.
We opened primarily as a yarn shop in July of 2004. Due to the
demand for quilting supplies, we have greatly expanded our product selection to include a variety of quilting needs, including
rotary cutters, pattern books, cutting mats, templates, batting, marking pens & chalk, thimbles and hundreds of Fat
Quarters.
We have a great selection of alpaca, wool and cotton and acrylic
yarns, patterns, Addi Turbo, Casein, Aero & Takumi knitting pins and crochet hooks.
We also stock many magazines (Vogue Knitting, Knitters, Knit
Simple to name a few), pattern books and leaflets. Hard cover books are available too, including some "How To"
DVDs.
New items in our store are Jacquard Acid dyes, DMC floss and Glorafilia needlepoint kits. A large selection
of JHB Buttons and Mettler quilting, embroidery and sewing threads round out our product offering.
We
have a small lending library of vintage knitting and crochet patterns. You may just find that special
project pattern you’ve been looking for!

Guilds are offered a 10% discount.
Classes
“How-to”
classes are led by Nancy Fradenburgh, a Certified Knitting Teacher (through the CYCA and Fashion Institute Of Technology in
New
York City). Two of the classes will introduce felting and knitting with fabric. Other classes include
Sock Workshop, Thrumming (Newfie Mitts) and Beginner Knitting & Crocheting.

Special Orders
Special orders are welcome at Log Cabin Yarns. We are able to order many yarns and accessories from a variety of suppliers.
Just let us know what you need, and we’ll do our best to get it in for you. A 50% deposit may be required at the time
of ordering.

In September 2004, we opened Log Cabin Music – a music store stocking name brand violins, guitars, amps, cords,
drums, harmonicas….you name it, we probably have it - if we don't we'll do our best to get it for you.
